Crumblytics
Privacy Policy

What Crumblytics stores
To provide the app's features, Crumblytics stores app data on your device and, when iCloud is available, may sync selected structured data through Apple iCloud, including:
- bake history entries such as bread type, durations, ratings, notes, and ingredients
- photo references attached to bake entries, such as file names, order, and timestamps
- your flour library
- app preferences such as onboarding, measurement units, and local app state
Actual photo files are stored in the app's private Documents directory on the device and are not uploaded to iCloud by the current version of the app.
Data collection
Crumblytics does not operate its own backend and does not send your bake history, photo files, flour library, notes, photos, ingredient amounts, hydration values, temperatures, or exact timings to the developer. If iCloud is enabled for your Apple Account, Apple may process synced app data through your private iCloud/CloudKit account.
Crumblytics uses TelemetryDeck for privacy-friendly product analytics. These analytics include coarse feature events such as opening the app, completing onboarding, starting or finishing baking steps, opening history, using import or export, checking notification permission status, viewing subscription screens, and changing settings. Analytics events may include coarse categories such as app locale, measurement system, device family, subscription status, bread type, proof type, bake-count bucket, hydration bucket, duration bucket, flour preset region, notification permission state, result, and error category.
- no account or sign-in is required
- no advertising identifiers are used
- TelemetryDeck may use a privacy-preserving device identifier for analytics
- analytics are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking
- no personal baking data is sold or shared with advertisers
Camera, photo library, and notifications
The app may request access to the camera and photo library so you can attach loaf photos to bake entries. It may also request permission for local notifications used by baking timers. These features run through iOS system permissions.
Optional subscriptions
If you view, purchase, or restore Crumblytics Pro, the transaction is handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. The developer does not receive your full payment details.
Export, import, and deletion
You can export and import your bake history and your flour library from the app's settings. You can also delete saved history or photos. Removing the app from your device removes local app data from that device. Data synced through iCloud may remain in your private iCloud account unless deleted through the app before removal or managed through Apple iCloud settings.
Third-party services
Crumblytics includes TelemetryDeck for product analytics. TelemetryDeck is used only for coarse product analytics, not for advertising or cross-app tracking. Apple services may be involved for App Store subscriptions, standard iOS permissions, and private iCloud/CloudKit sync. Crumblytics does not include advertising SDKs or a developer-operated cloud service.
